[ Waking up in a forest in a white sundress when it's cold and snowing is no fun at all, especially when she is dead certain she's not supposed to be here at all. She's clutching the journal she found to her chest as she makes her slow way through the trees, shivering violently. Every so often she stops and sets the journal down so she can cast a Fire spell to try and warm her hands a bit. She's desperate to find some shelter, anywhere she can get out of this cold and just have a moment to think through what the heck is happening here.

But she has no idea where she's going, and finally she stops, letting a few particularly hard shivers pass before she looks down at the journal in her arms. Her musings are a little muddled by her teeth chattering, yes. ]

I don't understand... I'm n-n-not supposed to be here, and I don't even know what happened to my clothes, or what this little book is for.

[ And she glances over her shoulder, frowning softly. ]

And I've g-g-got these wings ... last time I checked, I definitely didn't have wings.

[ Heaving a sigh, she hugs the journal close to her chest again, and rubs a hand up and down one arm, staring at the sky. ]

W-W-What's going on...?

Yeah. I'm still here, and so's Axel. Are you okay?

I'm fine...

[ she's not fine. she hesitates for another moment. when she speaks again her voice is clearer; she's obviously picked the journal back up. ]

I just ... I don't understand. Why do you remember me?

[voice]

[perplexme]

...you don't sound fine.

Why not? You were here before. [Because that's the easiest way to explain things without getting too overly complicated just yet.]

[voice]

[ ... that's the simple method? the surprise is crystal clear in her voice. ]

I was here before? I don't remember anything like that at all!

[perplexme]

It's really hard to explain. You really don't remember anything? You weren't here for long.

[voice]

[fourteen]

No ... sorry, Roxas.

[voice]

Don't worry...Sora never remembers when he comes and goes either.

... does that sort of thing happen a lot?

Not a lot, but it does happen. Axel was gone once though, but when he came back he remembered things.

[fourteen]

[ a sigh ] Okay. This is going to take some getting used to.

[ she goes quiet, then, resuming her trek towards what might hopefully be some form of civilization. there's a question burning in her mind, though, and after a moment she just can't help but ask. ]

Roxas? Do you ... do you remember anything else about me? Aside from, you know, the last time I was here.

[voice]

[perplexme]

[Ugh, he was hoping this wouldn't come up for a bit. Okay...ummm....] You mean from Never Was? We...well, we were friends.

[voice]

[fourteen]

[ there is something amiss with that reply. ] ... Roxas, tell me the truth. What do you really remember?

[voice]

[perplexme]

Not a lot. We were friends, we went on missions a lot, and you, me, and Axel would go to the tower a lot to eat ice cream before we would RTC.

[voice]

[fourteen]

[ she's surprised, actually, and it comes through in her voice. ] You remember all of that? I just don't understand ... Roxas, you aren't supposed to remember me at all. Not you, not Axel, not anyone.

[voice]

[perplexme]

Yeah, that's what I heard but...I don't know, it's weird. When you were here the first time, I didn't remember anything. Then I started remembering little things. I don't remember anything else beyond that though.

[voice]

[fourteen]

... is Namine here?

[voice]

[perplexme]

She was, but I haven't heard from her in a really long time.

[voice]

[fourteen]

... I see. That's too bad. She'd know what was going on here.

[ pause. someone hasn't been paying attention to where she's going. ]

Uh oh.

[voice]

[perplexme]

...what happened?

[voice]

[fourteen]

... I think I'm lost.

[voice]

[perplexme]

...where do you think you are?

Okay, what's around you?

[ with a tiiiiiny bit of a laugh in her voice. ]

You mean besides trees?

[ okay okay. hm. ]

I don't see anything specific, but ... I think I can hear running water nearby.

[voice]

I'm going to have to come find you, aren't I? [He doesn't sound too bothered by that though.] You're probably right outside town. Hold on.
