[ Waking up in a forest in a white sundress when it's cold and snowing is no fun at all, especially when she is dead certain she's not supposed to be here at all. She's clutching the journal she found to her chest as she makes her slow way through the trees, shivering violently. Every so often she stops and sets the journal down so she can cast a Fire spell to try and warm her hands a bit. She's desperate to find some shelter, anywhere she can get out of this cold and just have a moment to think through what the heck is happening here.

But she has no idea where she's going, and finally she stops, letting a few particularly hard shivers pass before she looks down at the journal in her arms. Her musings are a little muddled by her teeth chattering, yes. ]

I don't understand... I'm n-n-not supposed to be here, and I don't even know what happened to my clothes, or what this little book is for.

[ And she glances over her shoulder, frowning softly. ]

And I've g-g-got these wings ... last time I checked, I definitely didn't have wings.

[ Heaving a sigh, she hugs the journal close to her chest again, and rubs a hand up and down one arm, staring at the sky. ]

W-W-What's going on...?

[ she shakes her head slowly. ]

You'd have to ask him that yourself.

...did you think I would be mad?

... I had a decision to make, Roxas. I didn't want to leave you, or Axel ... but Riku told me I couldn't just make a decision that was right for me, but right for everyone. And ... because of what I am, I was draining your power. You were getting weaker...

[ it's obvious on her face that she hates talking about this. but the words keep coming, almost against her will ]

I knew I had to leave, but ... you would have tried to stop me. So I couldn't tell you... I'm -- I'm really sorry, Roxas. I had to do what I knew was right.

Riku's stupid. ...I don't understand though...what do you mean you were draining my power?

What? No he's not! [ actually vaguely insulted.

buuuuut. he had to ask, didn't he. drat. she goes quiet for a moment, trying to figure out how to explain. ]

Remember what I said about being built to duplicate your powers? Well ... I ended up sort of borrowing from you. I even started fighting like you... and you kept saying the Keyblade was wearing you out when you used it.

[ sadfaces. just .... sad. ]

He really is. He's annoying. [He doesn't care, he really doesn't like Riku, at all.]

...borrowing...and you knew what was happening?

He's not. He helped me, Roxas. I don't know what I would have done without him.

[ alarmed! she shakes her head frantically. ]

No! I had no idea ... not until late. I ... I left the Organization about a month after I figured it out.

He helped you and he attacked me. Sounds like he's got mixed priorities.

[...eyebrow raise get.] Oh. That...makes sense. They don't really tell us much.

[ what. ] ... he what?

No... not much at all. That's why I left. Everything I learned about myself I learned on my own, by sneaking out... or from Riku, later.

[ she shakes her head again. this is derailing from where she wanted it to go. ] Roxas ... are you ... okay with this? With me being ... what I am.

...long story.

I had to learn a lot from leaving too...I get it.

[There's a pause then as he thinks this over.] I think...I just need to get used to it. It's one of those things, you know?

... I think I need to hear this story, later.

[ she still ... looks worried, but she nods. ] I ... may just be a replica, Roxas, and you may not remember me ... or at least, not everything ... but you'll always be my best friend, okay? You and Axel.

[ bravely tries a smile. ]

Later. Much later.

I know...nothing's going to change, okay? [Other than, you know, everything totally just changed. But he's trying not to make it a big deal and he grins slightly.]

... if you say so.

[ the tension she's been holding close since she first heard his voice finally, visibly runs out of her. she is so unspeakably grateful to hear those words, and she smiles at him, really smiles, though it's tinged with sadness in its own way. ]

Okay. Come on, let's stop standing here and get out of the cold.

[He nods in agreement and starts walking a little faster, waiting for Xion to catch up.] Definitely, we can talk more where it's not freezing.

[ she follows, matching his pace. she's quite a bit more cheerful, now! in another attempt to keep warm, she brings her hands up and curls them beneath her chin, hiding them against the warmer skin of her neck. ]

I don't think I've ever been this cold in my life. Whose idea was it to stuck people in light dresses when it's so cold out, anyway? [ makes a faaace. ]

[Roxas is just leading them straight back to the apartment he shares with Axel, laughing a little at her statement.]

If it makes you feel better? They dumped me here in just a pair of pants, but it wasn't as cold yet.

[ this is kind of exciting. much as she knows it'll be hard at first, she's just so happy to be with her friends again. roxas gets a surprised look for his story, though. ]

No way! They didn't even give you a shirt? This place is so weird. Do they have something against normal clothes?

Nope, they never give the guys shirts. They have something against making us comfortable, I think. But they've got stores in town where they usually keep our regular clothes and stuff. We can check for anything they might have left you later when it's not so cold out, if you want.

Okay. There's no rush, as long as I can find something else to wear.

[ softly, and mostly to herself ] I wonder if Axel will be happy to see me...

We'll figure it out. Maybe if Axel's actually awake he'll know what to look for. [If he hears that last part, he doesn't acknowledge it. He's just busy leading Xion back to his and Axel's apartment.]

I guess if anyone might, he would. [ she says it with a bit of a laugh, since hey, Axel knows everything, right?

though she's practically vibrating with nerves right now. how much further, anyway? ]

That's what I figure, even though I've been here longer than him. [They're in front of the building now, so he'll just be leading her upstairs...]

You've been here longer? Just how much longer?

[ n-nervous. her hands bunch into tight fists almost reflexively, though she does her best to hide it. ]

...about fourteen months.

[I need to watch that movie again sometime soon action]
