[ Waking up in a forest in a white sundress when it's cold and snowing is no fun at all, especially when she is dead certain she's not supposed to be here at all. She's clutching the journal she found to her chest as she makes her slow way through the trees, shivering violently. Every so often she stops and sets the journal down so she can cast a Fire spell to try and warm her hands a bit. She's desperate to find some shelter, anywhere she can get out of this cold and just have a moment to think through what the heck is happening here.

But she has no idea where she's going, and finally she stops, letting a few particularly hard shivers pass before she looks down at the journal in her arms. Her musings are a little muddled by her teeth chattering, yes. ]

I don't understand... I'm n-n-not supposed to be here, and I don't even know what happened to my clothes, or what this little book is for.

[ And she glances over her shoulder, frowning softly. ]

And I've g-g-got these wings ... last time I checked, I definitely didn't have wings.

[ Heaving a sigh, she hugs the journal close to her chest again, and rubs a hand up and down one arm, staring at the sky. ]

W-W-What's going on...?

[ she follows, matching his pace. she's quite a bit more cheerful, now! in another attempt to keep warm, she brings her hands up and curls them beneath her chin, hiding them against the warmer skin of her neck. ]

I don't think I've ever been this cold in my life. Whose idea was it to stuck people in light dresses when it's so cold out, anyway? [ makes a faaace. ]

[Roxas is just leading them straight back to the apartment he shares with Axel, laughing a little at her statement.]

If it makes you feel better? They dumped me here in just a pair of pants, but it wasn't as cold yet.

[ this is kind of exciting. much as she knows it'll be hard at first, she's just so happy to be with her friends again. roxas gets a surprised look for his story, though. ]

No way! They didn't even give you a shirt? This place is so weird. Do they have something against normal clothes?

Nope, they never give the guys shirts. They have something against making us comfortable, I think. But they've got stores in town where they usually keep our regular clothes and stuff. We can check for anything they might have left you later when it's not so cold out, if you want.

Okay. There's no rush, as long as I can find something else to wear.

[ softly, and mostly to herself ] I wonder if Axel will be happy to see me...

We'll figure it out. Maybe if Axel's actually awake he'll know what to look for. [If he hears that last part, he doesn't acknowledge it. He's just busy leading Xion back to his and Axel's apartment.]

I guess if anyone might, he would. [ she says it with a bit of a laugh, since hey, Axel knows everything, right?

though she's practically vibrating with nerves right now. how much further, anyway? ]

That's what I figure, even though I've been here longer than him. [They're in front of the building now, so he'll just be leading her upstairs...]

You've been here longer? Just how much longer?

[ n-nervous. her hands bunch into tight fists almost reflexively, though she does her best to hide it. ]

...about fourteen months.

[ okay, that stops her. ]

That's longer than I've even...

[ been alive, but it's too weird even to say that. ]

...I know. It...I don't believe it sometimes.

Roxas, what ... what was happening before you came here, anyway? I mean ... the last thing you remember.

...do you really want an answer to that?

[ what is that look? suddenly, anxious, she nods. ]

...I merged with Sora. And we were back on the islands. His islands.

[ were you expecting surprise? because she actually looks relieved for a second before sighing and nodding ]

The way it was supposed to be...

So I've heard. But we're split here, so I don't know...

... [ she shakes her head ] Well ... we're not home. And Sora's awake and okay, so ... it must be alright, somehow.

...somehow. I've given up trying to make sense of all of it. [And here we are! He'll just stop outside the door] ...ready to go in?

I don't think I want to question it. It's ... it's kind of ... nice.

[ eep. xion's not looking forward to doing this twice, but she takes a deep, bracing breath and nods. ]

Yeah.

That's what I figure, too. [Roxas is just going to grin slightly and nod, turning the knob and leading Xion into the apartment.]

[This probably isn't too surprising, but Axel is asleep. And since he's your guys' own personal heater the room is probably warmer than normal, because the cold really sucks. But yeah, he's laying on his back on the couch with his arm draped over his eyes.]

[ he's .... sleeping. really? seriously?

unable to help herself, Xion starts to giggle, recalling a certain vacation. she visibly debates with herself over waking him up, and raises her eyebrows at Roxas by way of asking what they should do with the lunkhead. ]

[Roxas is just going to snort and shake his head, shutting the door quietly. He's pretty used to this by now, but it never stops being funny. He'll motion for Xion to come with him as he approaches Axel, hovering over him before leaning in and poking him right in the ribcage.]

[I forgot the subject line it's time for bed only not action]

[But sleep is ridiculous action]

[and also for losers but I am a loser, bed for me after thisssss action]

[Apparently I fell asleep before I could answer thissss action]

[and I slept for pretty much the entire last DAY so I think I win action]

[but that's okay because sleep can be fun action]
