[ Waking up in a forest in a white sundress when it's cold and snowing is no fun at all, especially when she is dead certain she's not supposed to be here at all. She's clutching the journal she found to her chest as she makes her slow way through the trees, shivering violently. Every so often she stops and sets the journal down so she can cast a Fire spell to try and warm her hands a bit. She's desperate to find some shelter, anywhere she can get out of this cold and just have a moment to think through what the heck is happening here.

But she has no idea where she's going, and finally she stops, letting a few particularly hard shivers pass before she looks down at the journal in her arms. Her musings are a little muddled by her teeth chattering, yes. ]

I don't understand... I'm n-n-not supposed to be here, and I don't even know what happened to my clothes, or what this little book is for.

[ And she glances over her shoulder, frowning softly. ]

And I've g-g-got these wings ... last time I checked, I definitely didn't have wings.

[ Heaving a sigh, she hugs the journal close to her chest again, and rubs a hand up and down one arm, staring at the sky. ]

W-W-What's going on...?

... And he stops for a second. What's a new feather doing out in the cold like that? Hrm, he'll go check it out.]

[ She doesn't see him, at first. She's setting the journal back down so she can cast another Fire spell, trying to fight off the chill. ]

[Well, when he gets close enough he stops dead in his tracks.

He remembered Xion from before, but he never actually saw her in person. She really does look like Kairi.]

Xion.

[ She jumps, started, but her eyes really do go wide when she sees who it is. ]

... Riku? What are you doing here? And why...

[ Her brow furrows deeply as she stares at him. Something is off about his appearance. ]

[So it was like Sora, huh? He doesn't seem too phased. Instead he just steps closer, crossing his arms.]

It's a long story. One that can wait... you definitely aren't dressed for the weather right now.

[ As if on cue, another shiver sweeps over her. She stoops to pick up the journal, then nods feverishly at him. ]

I want to figure out what's going on, but I can't think right while I'm this cold. Is there any place nearby to get warm?

The village isn't too far from here, actually. My suggestion would be to pick up some better clothes first and then figure things out.

[He's totes up to leading, really. Sora made her a "shipmate" before, and the kid's curious.]

Me find out hard way. Disgusting!

[ She just keeps her arms wrapped around herself -- and the journal -- and nods. ]

Okay. But I have a lot of questions once we get wherever it is we're going.

[ Once he starts leading, she'll just follow. She trusts him as much as anyone right now. ]

A village ... are there a lot of other people here?

[ Hello, Xion. Thank you for coming back and making Xaldin recall just who the fuck you are -- ]

[ ALSKJGHSAKJ WHY IS THE BOOK IN HER ARMS YELLING AT HER?!

Xion drops the thing in surprise, staring at it like it bit her. Slowly, very slowly, she crouches down, picking it up again ]

I ... I don't think I'd ever try to eat a book, don't worry.

[He nods as well, leading her out of the forest and to the village.]

Oh, plenty. People show up from different worlds all the time. You might recognize some of them.

[ What on earth ... ? Xion goes very still and glances around, slowly. If you could see her, Xaldin, you would see the way her guard goes up. ]

Me just saying. Me tried--me try to eat little cookie wings too, but taste bad, not like cookies!!

[ Look closer -- no, use your ears and listen closer. if he were there, he would make the wind help and have his voice... well, sound everywhere. But sshh.

[ Wow, no kidding. She stares at the village in curious wonder for a moment, actually stopping, before remembering hey we're walking now and trotting to catch up with him. ]

Really? Like who?

... cookie wings? You mean your wings looked like -- but why would you think you could eat those?! And does that mean everybody here gets wings? And why is your voice coming from this book, anyway?

Me not sure, but me know me see people with little wings, so me venture guess and say yes!

Me find out talking in book, sometimes writing too, but even pages not delicious...

[ Her shoulders abruptly stiffen in something like a wince. But if she listens ... she unfolds her arms and settled the journal in her hands, staring at it. She stays silent, not responding, as she opens it up and flips through the pages. Then she sees it - the writing that appears on the page, recording his voice. ]

... you're not supposed to remember.

That's so weird...

D-Do you try and eat everything?!

[ Xion's so fascinated by the strange creature talking to her through her book that she forgets to feel cold. She does, however, pick it up and keep moving in the meantime. ]

[ Oh indeed. They share the same exact VA. So Xion's going to go quiet and stay quiet for a very long moment, almost like she's not going to respond. ]

... I'm not Kairi.

And yet, I do. I remember everything, Xion. Your silence, your rebellion... the little things, even. After all, you've left such an impact for us.
