[ ~~Let's pretend it's actually, you know, a sane hour of the morning for the purposes of this post, hm?~~ Poppet, for one reason or another, is in the library, doing research on this and that subject. It's become something of a habit to just come here and read for a while -- it helps her learn, and she doesn't even have to bother anyone for it.

The post actually begins, however, on a yelp of surprise and a series of loud thumps. ]

Oh, great. And my journal fell off, too!

[ That's what you get for putting your journal on top of a stack of not well balanced books. With a sigh she goes about gathering them back up and placing them on the table, only to pause when she sees that the journal fell open when it tumbled over. That gets a soft laugh, and she picks it up to keep speaking, so her voice comes through much clearer. ]

Sorry for anyone who heard that. I just dropped a few things, that's all.

[ with that, she'll go back to her reading. feel free to come bother her! ... certain experiments with certain very unfortunate effects entirely aside, of course. lucky the effects of that are just over the journal, eh? ]

I don't know what I'd do without you, sometimes. Now that I think about it... I'm not sure how I didn't realize this sooner.

... [ blinks at him questioningly. does he mean what she thinks he means...? ]

In other words, I've felt this way for a while.

... [ hee. lets go of him and stops leaning so she can curl up in her chair, pulling her knees up to her chest as she watches him fondly. ]

Remember when I told you I wasn't sure if I could feel love? ... I think I was asking for a reason, too.

Well, I'd say this all worked out, then. Wouldn't you?

Yes! [ laughs again. then puts her feet back on the floor so she can gesture all excited-like ]

Does that mean we're, um, a couple now? It sounded silly before, but I think maybe I'd like to try one of those date things... it might be fun!

[Okay, that's it. Riku laughs, although he means nothing bad by it!]

Yeah, guess it does. As for dates, I don't see why not. Can't say I've done anything like that before, but it's worth a shot.

[ that's alright, she figures. she's too excited and happy and derpy to take that in a negative way. CLAPS HER HANDS TOGETHER, EVEN. ]

Great! What do you think we should do?

Good question. You got anything in mind?

[ shakes her head. ]

I didn't even know what a date was until you told me about it!

Could get something to eat, I guess.

Mmm, that sounds like a good idea. I've been here for a while, anyway.

[ headtilts, sighing thoughtfully ] It's still pretty early in the day... where should we go?

There are a few restaurants. Could go get pizza or something.

Sure, sounds like a good idea to me. Lead the way.

[And he shall! In fact, up he goes to start leading right away.]

[ ... going to hold his hand while they walk, k. even if she's very shy about it. ]

[He doesn't mind; it's adorable. But, here, he'll give another light squeeze as a bit of reassurance.

And once they get there? Well, shall we assume they take their order and find a nice place to sit?]

[ dlkahsjd aaaaah. does he want her to be blushing for every waking second this week.

sounds like a plan. o/ once they sit down, she seems to get an idea -- she pulls her necklace off over her head, then loops it once or twice around her wrist, so it fits like a loose, dangly bracelent. she wants to show it off now okay. ]

No, it's not that. I just sort of ... want to show it off a little. It's the gift you gave me, after all. [ runs the fingers of her other hand over the shells, expression incredibly fond ] The first Christmas gift I ever got.

[Right, food. We can assume they've got that, maaaybe? Riku's totally used to this kinda food, but to Xion it must be something totally new.]

[ oh yeah. once the food is there, Xion's just kind of going :O, then :D! ]

Hey, this is pizza, right? I've only ever had it once before. [ sorry, Riku, her BFFs beat you to it. ]
