[ Let's pretend it's actually, you know, a sane hour of the morning for the purposes of this post, hm? Poppet, for one reason or another, is in the library, doing research on this and that subject. It's become something of a habit to just come here and read for a while -- it helps her learn, and she doesn't even have to bother anyone for it.
The post actually begins, however, on a yelp of surprise and a series of loud thumps. ]
Oh, great. And my journal fell off, too!
[ That's what you get for putting your journal on top of a stack of not well balanced books. With a sigh she goes about gathering them back up and placing them on the table, only to pause when she sees that the journal fell open when it tumbled over. That gets a soft laugh, and she picks it up to keep speaking, so her voice comes through much clearer. ]
Sorry for anyone who heard that. I just dropped a few things, that's all.
[ with that, she'll go back to her reading. feel free to come bother her! ... certain experiments with certain very unfortunate effects entirely aside, of course. lucky the effects of that are just over the journal, eh? ]

[ sdlkghs SQUEAKS. sdghl the flailing, good god, the flailing. ... even if it is internal. she's just going to blush flamingly bright, but lean right into it, getting comfortable against him. ]

[Good. And in return he'll give a contented sigh, just hanging tight here. But maybe...]

Eventually, though, he speaks up.]

Xion makes a soft noise of surprise, eyes flying open again, but somehow Riku's lips on hers causes this ... massive surge of feeling in her chest. After a moment, her eyes slip shut again and she settles into the kiss, tentatively kissing him back. ]
[Action]
Naturally, he's not going to stop just yet. Heck no. That time he was forced to kiss Roxas during the orders experiment is totally different from this, so Riku's naturally gonna enjoy himself.]
[Action]
She turns her body a little so she can face him more fully, hands fisting gently in the front of his shirt. she's incredibly nervous, and if he could see her face he'd see that she's bright red again, but .... but as silly as this sounded, it feels really nice. it helps that the more time that passes, the braver she gets with kissing back. ]
[Action]
He'll take his other arm and wrap around her again, scooting her just a liiiittle closer. The hand on her cheek is now moving to her hair and lightly brushing through some of it.
... Yeah, when this experiment is over he'll probably look back on this with much confusion, to say the least.]

she'll even part her lips a little, if/when he does. at the same time, her hands sort of drift so that her arms settle around his waist instead.

and yes it can be time for tongues. though this is baffling for Xion at first, since UH WHY, she instinctively responds in kind and gets used to the sensation, finding this is just as much fun, if not more so, than what they were ALREADY doing.
