[ There is a creature in the plaza.

Though initially it hid behind the clothing shop, it seems to be venturing out now, just slightly ... looking for an opening to sneak away.

Can this creature summon portals on its own? Xion does not understand it, this body. She has seen these things before, of course, but to BE one? It's strange and terrifying. She'd known before, when she had Sora's face, felt it, but ... hadn't that been an exception? She'd tried -- right now, she couldn't even talk. And she could feel it. This wrong face, this wrong body, not hers. The only thing that might mark her, right now, is a curious (possibly cruel) artifact the Malnosso let her keep upon her return. Around the creature's neck, on a chain, is a ring. Xion does not seem to have realized it is there. She has rather more important things on her mind, after all.

Turned into a Dusk. The one threat Xemnas always turned on his members should they become unruly. She'd known. But how... he's not here! She'd only been taken for a night at most. How could the Malnosso....

What is wrong with her?

Should you be about in the evening, you may see this creature trying to rush, twist, and dart its way back to house 14 in that odd, swaying way Dusks seem to move.

But be careful if you run into her while you're out -- she just might turn into someone else entirely. ]

[What odd timing Luke has. He'd just been out to get away from Asch for a while, because everyone knows they need some time away from each other sometimes. Otherwise they'd probably kill each other, and what better time than in the evening?

He'd just been looking at the stars that are peeking out one by one when he hears a scuttling noise. It sounds a bit like a snake slithering loudly through the grass, and so Luke stops and looks toward the noise -

She doesn't see him yet, as she's looking back over her shoulder -- apparently, even though this creature has no visible eyes with which to see. It's only when she slithers some few feet closer that she spots him, freezes, and draws up tight and narrow.

For a moment, she hovers there, quivering. Then she abruptly darts away. ]

Xion freezes at the sight of him -- and his Keyblade -- then promptly darts away to hide behind a bench. Only once safely ensconced behind this barrier does she poke her head up, watching him warily. ]

[In Luceti one is bond to see their share of odd and strange things, but it seems there's always room for something new. Keiichi can't help to stare, but... Well, they are in the middle of a New Feather cycle, right? And that creature.. He isn't sure of it's moving with a purpose or not.]

[ If a Dusk could shriek, it would do so right now. As it is Xion goes dead still for an instant then bristles wildly, her "hood" unzipping in a sudden burst (and silent hiss) as she darts backwards and away, though she never stops facing him. She keeps her clawed hands out in front of her and her body low to the ground, not attacking, but very much on guard.

[It doesn't take Roxas long to register what he's just seen twist in front of him as it approaches his house.

The question, he supposed, is what would a Dusk want to do with their house and how would it...no. Screw it, now's not the time to ask questions. He summons his Keyblades and slowly prepares to stalk the Dusk. Even if it were to turn and attack, he'd be ready. Hold on, Dusk, this Nobody's currently following you.]

The boys would see a Dusk. What would SHE do if she saw a Dusk? Probably go for a weapon, that's what. And she knows in her heart that's what all the boys will do. She can't go home. She'd come to a stop on the road, skulking and twisting about in one spot, trying to figure out what to do ...

She hasn't seen Roxas yet, Roxas being the creepy stalker that he is. She stares at the house for a moment, everything about her posture hunched ... almost sad. But Dusks can't be sad, right?

Finally she continues down the road, slowly, not looking back. Where can she possibly go...? ]

Xion has a lot of lingering affection left over for him from the family AU, so quite contrary to her reactions to the others so far, she darts right over to him, going so far as to hide behind him.

She ... thinks he won't Keyblade her, anyway, unlike the other boys would. He's probably safe.

On the down side, he's a little freaked out and therefore the wand's easily sliding into his hand, keeping it up his sleeve until he actually needs it.]

[Probably to Xion's unhappy discovery, Kairi is currently on the porch of house 14. When the Dusk arrives in front of the house, the redhead makes no moves to scare it off or even attack. She has her Keyblade, sure, but she's mostly just going to stare right at it. One moment the space where the Dusk was was empty; the next, this white creature was swaying, staring at the house. Because of that though, she's going to assume it's entirely harmless for the moment.]

But she does know he recognizes them... so though she is tempted to pounce on him like she did Ven, she knows it's a bad plan. She hesitates at the sound of his voice, then immediately darts away and hides under a bench.

[ Fenimore isn't quite as calm about running into what appears to be a monster on her way back from getting groceries. She pretty much freezes on the spot. At least she doesn't scream? But the bag she's carrying slowly slips from her hand and lands with the sound of something inside it shattering. Whoops. Looks like she'll have to clean that bag later.

In the meantime, the sudden sound while looking at something that looks like a monster nearly gives her a heart attack. Unfrozen, she squeaks from muffling a shriek and scrambles back several steps. ]

Under that bench, Xion curls her clawed hands over her head and simply cowers like a scared puppy, hoping vaguely that Fenimore will go away and leave her to her shame. ]

[ This is pretty much the opposite of fair. As with many of the others, Xion will freeze in her movements when spotted ... but Aerith doesn't seem frightened. Curious and a little relieved, she'll slither forward a few feet, though she won't get too close.

Currently, her wings are not visible, so it's pretty hard to tell if she's a resident or not... all she's got are the ring and her lack of, uh, overt hostility. ]
