[ quite a bit of time passes before a reply comes from Fenimore. she's probably been excessively clingy, figuratively, to her best friend who's going in the draft the next day. even when she finally gets back to her journal, she doesn't reply right away. she's pretty awful at holding her temper in check when she's worried and she'd rather not make Xion cry two conversations in a row. she still doesn't sound like she's in a good mood when she eventually replies fairly late in the evening, but she's managed to get rid of nearly all of the crankiness in her tone. ]
