[ Xion resolved to herself, today, to go see Guy. She hasn't gone yet, and is in fact still in the clinic with Luke when she decides she needs to do -- something. Anything. Though she can't imagine how much harder it is for Luke -- his original is dead, he's the one that's dying -- it's been crushing her, too.
And since she's planning to go see Guy, anyway...
At some point, she presses a kiss to Luke's forehead, tells him she'll be back later, and slips out of the clinic. She needs something to eat, anyway, and probably a shower. But on her walk home she opens her journal to ask something of the village, something she never normally asks. She looks and sounds very, very tired. Not sad, just ... infinitely weary. ]
Does anyone want to spar? I can do weapons, but I'd prefer hand to hand. I don't mind either way.
[ She pauses, opens her mouth to add something else, then lets it go and shuts the book.
A short while later, she writes something else: ]
( Sanji | Locked 100% )
I need to talk to you.
[ And then, finally, much later that day, long after dark and long after her talk with Guy, she reopens the journal to write out one last message. It's late at night, and she waits until Luke is dozing. ]

If you needed to cheer a friend up, what would you do?
I don't mean for a specific friend. I know there are certain things you can do for particular people. I just mean in general, I guess. If you just had to do something, what would it be?
Oh, um, please only write back. I'm - trying not to wake someone up.

[ It would surprise him, at least, but also possibly make him feel like ... well, she was taking care of him. Perhaps not in a good way. But she files it away as a thought. ]

[One can only assume Xion's not been at meetings or desk for a spell. She frowns lightly, but it's really not her concern at the moment]

[ Yeah, no. She disappeared completely from public on the 13th. She's spent practically 20 hours a day at the clinic since the fight. And Haruhi contacting her does cause a twinge of guilt, though she's not sure if she should bring it up. ]

Something... [A pause for a moment before he continues writing in a hastier scribble, as though to get out the words on paper before he can lose his nerve to.] Something to just kind of tell them that you're there for them and that you care.
[He feels a bit sheepish it's not more specific or anything, but it's honest.]

[ ... it's sweet, and possibly her favorite answer so far, even if it won't really help. Or maybe it will. Who knows. ]
I know. I'm definitely going to be doing that anyway. I don't - know what else I can do.

[ She imagines the answer is yes. Especially after the hullabaloo over the journals from Luke, it's not a huge leap to guess that Xion is tired from stress and is looking for a distraction. But she feels like she should ask, anyway. ]

Anything that would get their mind off what it is their upset about.
Talking idly or reminiscing over happier times.
[He stops writing for moment, though there's some pencil taps on the page to indicate he's not quite finished yet.]
Though I suppose some people might prefer to talk about what's bothering them. I don't think it's ever a good idea to push them into talking until they feel comfortable doing so, but sometimes just letting them know you're there to offer a shoulder to cry on can bring some relief.

I know. Right now, I'm trying to just . . . be there. As much as I can be.
[ A pause, and pen taps of her own. ]
Happy memories...
