[ Sometime during the night, the Malnosso robots dumped Xion off where they'd picked her up -- square in the middle of town. There and gone, quick as you please, leaving an unconscious girl behind.

However, she quickly comes to, stirring blearily and slowly sitting up. ]

Where....?

[ And then her eyes go wide. Something looks ... different. At this time of night -- or morning, really -- the sun is only just barely starting to come up, turning the sky a deep, dark blue. It's just light enough to see by, but can't properly be called morning yet.

And in this mock twilight, Xion sees that Luceti suddenly seems horribly familiar yet bizarre at the same time. She sits stunned for a moment, unable to process what she's seeing, then looks over her shoulder at the fountain.

What she sees makes her yelp. ]

Whoa! But that's... what is... no way! I'm still in Luceti, right? But how...

[ This is too strange. Xion locates her journal, conveniently nearby as always, and immediately starts talking into it, too curious and excited to really stop and care about the fact that she just got back. ]

Axel! Roxas! Are you guys awake? Have you seen the town yet? It looks -- it looks so much like Halloween Town! I thought I was actually there when I woke up...

[ Xion looks away from the journal to stare in wonder around the spooky town. Finally, she stands, a smile spreading across her face. ]

I wonder what all this is about...

[ Another pause. Then Xion gives another abrupt shout of surprise and drops her journal, unable to stop herself from exclaiming aloud ]

What am I wearing?! Are these... are these bunny ears...?

(ooc; this, ftr. also, she happens to be covered in bruises, which is much more apparent with all that skin bared. she'll be noticing it belatedly in threads instead of here in the post proper. don't worry; at least she didn't feel any pain, right? :|b

ps this is going up more or less in real time, at 6:30 in the morning or so.

[ she smiles a little, sheepishly, glad they won't have to seek help from anyone else, and momentarily shuts her eyes. by now, she's pretty much got mastery over Nala, and is able to call the spirit's healing magic without trouble. there's a brief, faint green glow, and then her bruises start to fade, most of them disappearing entirely soon enough.

she opens her eyes again and looks at her now-clear skin, then gives Riku a slightly stronger smile ] Better?

Much better.

[He smiles.]

Anyway, you want to head back? It's kind of early.

[ ... th-that smile. Xion stalwartly ignores the funny feeling in her chest and nods ]

Sure. I'm kind of cold anyway.

[ orz. not blushing over her revealing outfit. ]

I'd let you wear my cloak, but...

[He laughs.]

Obviously, that's not an option right now.

Definitely not... what're you wearing, anyway? It's kind of...

Believe me, I didn't pick this.

[Groaning, Riku pulls down the silly hood. Luckily it's just a black top, black pants, creepy gloves, and fake looking wing covers, but it still looks silly.]

[ .... unable to help herself, Xion just starts to laugh. it's so precious somehow. ]

You think this is funny, huh?

[...Okay, yeah. He's leeeaning forward. If it wasn't for the hat, he'd so grab her in a headlock or something.]

[ she only laughs harder. see icon, basically. ] It's just -- the hood, and the wings...!

Well, at least I don't have rabbit ears.

[Snerk.]

[ that gets her to stop. she huffs at him. ]

You be quiet! This is the last thing I would've wanted to get stuck with... [ she twists her body to the side slightly, looking over her shoulder at her bunny tail ] Ears and a tail... I must look ridiculous.

Now you know how I feel.

[He shakes his head.]

But relax. You don't look bad; I was just teasing.

... [ faces forward and smiles a little, crookedly ]

Hee. I know. I guess we can feel a little silly together, then.

My guess is there's another experiment going on. It's the only thing I can think of.

I know. It must be. [ her smile dims a little, into something a little more somber ] I just hope this is as bad as it gets.
