[ Without any warning, a short, sharp shriek of fear is going to be transmitted across the journals. It's followed by dead silence, and a few whispered words too quiet to be picked up on.

A moment goes by in silence, wherein Xion notices both the room's other [Bad username or site: perplex_me title= @ livejournal.com] and her journal at the foot of her bed. Her voice is shaky when the journal picks it up next, and she's both addressing anyone who heard as well as Roxas. ]

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to -- it's -- I'm okay.

What's...

[ She could have sworn she saw him, just as she awoke. Right out of the corner of her eye, like some monster from her nightmares. It would be impossible to mistake that blue hair, those impossibly cold eyes... but there was no one there. Not to mention her dreams of the past few days haven't exactly been nightmares, so much as... ]

--Sora! Sora! Where is he?! [ very upset Poppet is very upset and isn't sure if she's really yelling this at Roxas, or at the whole universe. ] SORA!

He asked Riku why their spare room had a bunch of girly stuff in it.

[ she has nothing to say after that, staring off into space as she mentally sorts through the memories again. some of them are just straight up embarrassing -- it's weird seeing your identical twin and the person you were cloned from kiss, okay -- but mostly it's just Kairi, and Sora, and them together, and knowing that she's taken Kairi away from Sora completely is breaking Xion's heart.

after a moment of silence so long it seems like she might just not reply at all, she lets out a slow breath and buries her face in her hands. ]

... I don't know what to do.

[Man. He can only imagine, and it's creepy.] It's okay. Axel and I are going to figure it out, just you wait.

... Roxas ...

[ she wants to tell him it's impossible. she wants to tell everyone to stop giving her false hope because that will make it hurt worse when it all ends. ]

... please ... don't.

Well why not? [Roxas doesn't see why this just has to happen.]

Because there's no other way! And I don't want to keep thinking that there might be because that just makes it worse! I'm so tired of feeling scared...

[ gdit Roxas. she curls up in a ball, hands in her hair, and says nothing more. ]

...[Roxas is going to crawl up onto the bed and sit next to her.] That's why we're going to fix that. You've gotta stop saying that, this isn't the only way, okay? [Poor Roxas. He doesn't quite understand, does he?]

[ ...... derp bff, why you gotta be so earnest. Xion starts a little when she feels the bed shift and just stares at him. forgive her, Roxas, but she really can't help it -- when he says that, her eyes well up with tears, and she just leans against him, lost for words. ]

[Because he's part of Sora, probably. Still, Roxas is just going to allow it.] You can't just give up...Axel and I will figure out something. Maybe Riku and Kairi can help. Just...don't cry, okay?

[ oshi-- and a few tears had slipped quietly down her face. she hurriedly rubs them off, keeping her head bowed so her face is hidden. but then she nods twice, emphatically, not trusting herself to speak. ]

[Oh Xion. Roxas is just going to drape an arm around her shoulders and stare straight ahead, because crying girls are awkward to start with, but a crying Xion is just sad.] Thought I just said not to cry. [It's an attempt to lighten the mood, if anything.]

[ well, that gets a wet, weak laugh out of her, at least. she is trying SO HARD not to cry and while her eyes are still wet, no more tears slip down her cheeks. ]

[Hey, it's still something.] Don't worry about it. Like I said, you just gotta leave everything up to us. We'll fix it.

... Roxas ... just please don't blame yourself if you don't find a way. Besides, it's ... not like I'd be gone long, right? People come back, here.

[ sorry, Roxas. She loves you dearly, but she won't let this go. ]

Stop talking like that! [Oh wait, can't upset poppet more. Calm, Roxas.] We'll figure it out.

Please, Roxas. Please just tell me you'll think about it. I don't know how much more I can stand of pretending it's going to be okay.

I'm not going to pretend it's hopeless just yet either though.

[ deal. but then she's silent for a moment, just staring at the corner, still leaning against him. the support is nice, anyway. ]

You know, it's so strange... when I woke up I could have sworn I saw Saix. That's why I screamed... it really startled me.

[He raises an eyebrow and looks at her again.]

Saix? But...he's been gone for a long time.

I know... that's why it startled me so badly. Maybe I was still dreaming. [ shakes her head. ] It's not that important.

... I think I should check on Sora, though. [ which, honestly, is the last thing she should be doing, because she'll just get upset again. but she feels obligated. ]

You must have been, he's definitely not here. [But he looks briefly startled.] No. You're not going to check on Sora right now, Axel's probably making sure he's totally fine.

[ seems a little taken aback at how insistent Roxas is being, pausing for a second to blink at him ... but then she relaxes a little and sighs, nodding. ]

Alright. As long as he's awake.

Hmm...last time I checked he was awake, but I haven't seen him for a while.
