... oh, that's just n-n-not fair.
[ In the woods bordering the western lake, this one, having just come to only a moment ago. Her tone may be a little irritated, but, well, she sounds okay, not hurt or anything. That's a plus, right?
Well, except for the fact that she's ... not very well dressed for the weather. She's stuck in the same training outfit her older self showed up in, a black ensemble that shows her midriff... only now there is a scar. A long scar, so long it vanishes into her clothing, extending fully from her left breast to her right hip. Of course, only the long slice of it across her belly is visible.
It's a scar, by the way, that her older self did not possess when she turned up in the same clothes. Curious.
Xion's not thinking about that right now, though. What she's thinking about is that it's freezing -- her luck to show up in the middle of a cold snap! And she's a little bothered that the scar is on display, but... well, what can she do about it? With a sigh that comes out on a violent shiver, she climbs to her feet. (At least she's got shoes.)
This has happened to her so many times now she's getting sort of used to it, and it's a nice change to at least not come back feeling sick/hurt/terrified/some combination therein. She'll flip through the journal a bit, fighting off more shivers, before speaking. Her speech is a little garbled, unfortunately, by her chattering teeth. ]
D-D-D-Does anyone know w-w-w-what day it is? I wonder if I m-m-m-m-missed Christmas. [ a beat, then ] D-D-Did they really have t-t-to drop me off so f-f-f-f-far out?
[ Walking all the way back, dressed like this, in this weather? ... send halp. ]
(ooc; OKAY SO. for once I am going to obey the rules of time and space. Luke got there first, so he's gonna pick her up. if you want to poke her at the lake in an action tag, that's totally cool, but just know it's only Luke taking her home. easier on my poor brain for once.)

she smiles a little bit when he looks over. she's got her fire going now, so that's something, right? ]
Yeah, I would say. It wasn't really my choice, though.
[Action]
As if it ever is. [He reaches her side then and looks down.] Waiting for something?
[Action]
She doesn't stand when he reaches her, though, instead staying curled up, in an attempt to preserve some body heat. ]
Uh huh. A friend is coming to pick me up. ... hopefully with a jacket, though something tell me he forgot. [ she looks into the fire, tilting her head slightly ] ... the Malnosso just dropped me off here a little while ago.
[Action]
They have a tendency to drop me off in the lake...hardly considerate of them, isn't it? [He's going to crouch a little, but not directly sit because ugh cold dirt.] How far out do you suppose he is?
[Action]
No, but it sure does sound like them. [ shakes her head. ] I guess he left about twenty minutes ago... but from the village, we're still pretty far out. It's gonna take him a while. [ she glances up at him again, thinking for a little bit. ] ... want some company for a while?
[Action]
Honestly, I ought to just start leaving a towel there for next time. [He nods though because...well, while he can easily pop around and get around Luceti quicker than usual, a normal person...can't. Which kinda sucks. However at her question he blinks in surprise.]
Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?
[Action]
[ grins at him, a little amused. ] If you want to!
[Action]
I suppose I ought to give the lake a rest. [It's about then he notices the scar on her stomach. Don't mind him just looking at it thoughtfully.]
[Action]
somehow, it doesn't bother her as much for Draco to see it. maybe because she nows he won't baby her for it. so, quietly, she lays a hand over her stomach, then lets it fall, looking into the fire ]
I got it during the last draft. There were some really powerful enemies out there.
[Action]
The draft...[A nod, and then-] Did it bleed a lot then?
[Action]
I was able to heal myself after that... not that I could really tell how bad it was. No pain, after all. [ a faint, lopsided smile. ] But it could have been a lot worse, so... I don't really mind too much.
[ truth be told -- and maybe it shows, in her eyes -- she's a little proud of it. the evidence that even someone like her could save lives. could really matter when it counted. ]
[Action]
You're getting better at your healing magic at least. [Though there's a brief grimace at the latter comment. Right. Death Penalties can suck it.] It could have been much worse, if you're feeling optimistic about it.
[He pauses then, and it might be obvious he's debating if he wants to say anything about what he's thinking. His eyes are still briefly trained on the scar before shifting to meet her gaze, a bit startled at the look there. Odd. Odd. Odd. Why couldn't he...no, not that line of though, Malfoy.]
At least yours came from an actual battle. [He's leaving that for interpretation.]
[Action]
[ a pause, at that, where the smile fades from her face. then her brows knit, as that statement sinks in. ] ... what happened?
[Action]
[Ohhh and there's the look of acknowledgment and the question. He shrugs briefly and looks off elsewhere.] Are you asking out of curiosity, or politeness?
