Her motions as she reaches to try to shut the journal unknowingly echo those of people who live in worlds with alarm clocks. Her lack of practice on such matters, though, only serve to knock over the journal and, as always in Luceti, slight jarring activates the journal's voice function.

Fenimore's voice is very groggy and she has yet to realize who it is who is talking. ] --of person would use her journal at this hour? People are trying to sleep! Where did--? Geez, can't they be quiet for two seconds?
