Hermione... Sorry if this is out of the blue, but I wanted to ask a favor of you. Would it be possible to ... meet more often to work on magic? I have a handle on Nala, but I wanted to work on Eferin and Kipinn... Tsinku too, if I can manage it. I know it's probably a lot to ask, but... if you wouldn't mind?

I'm ... I'm sorry to bother you all, but I had a favor I wanted to ask. I know Sanji is sleeping... I was wondering if-- um. [ pausepause. still kinda shy. ] I could come by once a day... to leave something with him. I -- I guess you could call it a gift. [ shy. ;; ] If it's not too much trouble or anything.

[ Since she arrived in Luceti? So it was something from before, maybe? Either way, there's another pause on Fenimore's end, though not nearly so long. She's still trying to think before she speaks, which doesn't come naturally for her.

And guessing that the last word is supposed to be okay, the answer may not be entirely no, but it's not yes. Fenimore mightn't hate Xion over her true nature, but she's uncomfortable, and even a little scared. But she's already gotten the impression that Xion's the sensitive type, so she's not going to admit it. But she can't keep it entirely from her expression, so she'll just have to hope that the journal image isn't clear enough when she looks back at it for the other girl to tell. ]

There you go again, worrying about other people when you're the one in trouble. I think the better question is "are you okay?"

[ Sometimes, Xion can be pretty perceptive. She picks up on it, slightly, from Fenimore's face -- something being slightly off -- but ... she can hardly blame her. So she lets it pass. Fenimore's question just gets a slow, sheepish smile, and her voice is gentle. ]

I'm okay. Everyone keeps asking me that! [ a tiny laugh ] Thank you so much, Fenimore. You really are a kind person.
