[ Without any warning, a short, sharp shriek of fear is going to be transmitted across the journals. It's followed by dead silence, and a few whispered words too quiet to be picked up on.

A moment goes by in silence, wherein Xion notices both the room's other [Bad username or site: perplex_me title= @ livejournal.com] and her journal at the foot of her bed. Her voice is shaky when the journal picks it up next, and she's both addressing anyone who heard as well as Roxas. ]

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to -- it's -- I'm okay.

What's...

[ She could have sworn she saw him, just as she awoke. Right out of the corner of her eye, like some monster from her nightmares. It would be impossible to mistake that blue hair, those impossibly cold eyes... but there was no one there. Not to mention her dreams of the past few days haven't exactly been nightmares, so much as... ]

--Sora! Sora! Where is he?! [ very upset Poppet is very upset and isn't sure if she's really yelling this at Roxas, or at the whole universe. ] SORA!

[He's going to get up and follow.] He might just be out in the main room. I hope.

[ well ... it feels like the danger's passed, for now, and his smile makes her feel a little better. she leads them out into the main room, glancing around. ]

Yeah... [ a little more loudly, calling out ] Axel?

[Nope, not there. But his journal is on the table and the front door is cracked, so you know he's nearby. In fact, he's just down the hall in the building's kitchen, which is why he wasn't able to hear Xion's scream. COME FIND HIM.]

[Roxas picks up Axel's journal before nodding toward the door, leading Xion out of the apartment. It's like playing follow the leader!] He's probably burning something.

[ blink blink. what, really? Xion sighs a little even as she laughs. That would just be so Axel, somehow, and it's comforting in the midst of her worry and fear. She follows Roxas out and down the hall ]

Hehe, probably. I wonder what he's making... or trying to make, anyway.

[ once they reach the kitchen, Xion will poke her head in, all curiosity ]

Axel...?

[HEY. Not burning anything. >| Really. He mostly just needed a breather, and he didn't want to venture off too far just in case he was needed. This whole situation has had him stressed. He was leaning against one of the counters with his arms folded across his chest and staring at the wall, but when he hears his name being called he snaps to attention and stands upright. The fact it was Xion's voice surprised him.]

Xion!

Yeah, nice to see you, too. [But Roxas knows Axel's been just as worried as he was, so he pushes on Xion's back a little to make her step further into the kitchen.] We wanted to come find you right away.

[ Xion's never good with having the spotlight on her. Axel's reaction and the way Roxas gives her a little push forward suddenly make her feel awkward again, and she shuffles a little, but gives Axel a smile smile ]

Hey. I just woke up a little while ago. ... sorry if I worried you.

[He scratches the back of his head, a little embarrassed about his reaction to be honest. He doesn't like to give off the vibe he was worried. He has a REPUTATION to uphold okay.]

Nah, just glad you're okay. Roxas has been worried sick about you. Was hard to get him away from your bedside.

[Roxas just gives Axel a look and makes a protesting noise] Hey! You were worried, too!

[ I CAN'T TYPE. anyway. she blinks between the two of them, then laughs a little ]

Aw, you were worried, Axel? [ teasing. she loves you rly. ] I think I'm alright now, anyway.

[S-SHUT UP YOU GUYS. Ignoring that okay.]

Do you remember what happened?

...that's a good question. [And he's turning to look at Xion for an answer.]

[ hesitates again, now that they're both staring. her eyebrows draw up as she looks between them, but she finally settles on Axel. ]

... yes. I remember ... a lot of things that I shouldn't. [ cryptic statement, but Axel, if perhaps not Roxas, is likely to get what she means. she places a hand on her cheek and takes a few steps forward, moving past Axel. ]

But when I collapsed... I was just walking down the hall when all of a sudden my head started to hurt really badly. After that, the next thing I knew was waking up in my room.

[Yeah, after seeing Sora's last entry he knows what she means. He watches her back when she steps past him, and after a moment he spares a glance over at Roxas, wondering if he caught that too.]

You do know what caused it, right?

[He's watching both of them carefully. He kind of has an idea what they're both talking about, but he's going to keep quiet and just see what Xion says.]

[ she glances back at him doubtfully, almost like it's a stupid question. not a look she often has on. ]

... of course I do. Me. It's my fault, even if I'm not doing it on purpose.

Then you know not to do anything stupid like run away because of this. No repeats of last time, got it memorized?

[Big brother mode: on. Sorry Xion, he has to get this talk out of the way first.]

She wouldn't run away. [He's not that sure about it, but it's a pretty solid statement.] Right, Xion?

[ that makes her pause. slowly she turns to face the two of them again, her expression very serious. then she nods, just once. ]

Right.

[ she doesn't smile. no levity, no fear, no nothing. just quiet seriousness. it's very strange on her, but it helps prove her sincerity. she won't run away again. ]

[Good girl, Xion. That's what Axel wanted to hear. He moves over closer to her to where he's standing directly in front of her, his own expression is serious as he stares down at her. But after a moment he grins and brings his hand up to ruffle her hair.]

[He...still feels like he's really missing something, but he won't pry just yet. He remembers a few things vaguely, but not enough to make the connection right away. That, and he doesn't know the actual details anyway.]

Now that that's out of the way...Axel, you should make us something.

[ h-hey. Xion swats at his hand and makes a face, but a moment later she's smiling too. and when Roxas offers his suggestion... her whole face lights up, and she looks back at Axel eagerly ]

Oh, could you, Axel? Pleeeease?

[...what.]
