[ It is a dizzy, sick, and weak Xion that finally manages to make her way back into town after having been dropped off at the outskirts by her generous mallynappers. She'd so rather much not be out in the open right now, but she needs help and she knows it. The farthest she can make it is the fountain in the center of the village. That's where she collapses, curling up in a ball on the ground, leaning back against it.

For the first time in months, she's in full Organization regalia. She'd started to leave off the gloves and the dark cloak, just opting for the plain black uniform underneath and a different coat. But now it's all back, and the hood is up, the cowl hiding her hair and eyes in its shadow. Considering she never has her face covered these days, it's pretty obvious she's hiding for a reason.

She's shivering. Maybe if she curls up in a tiny enough ball and keeps her hands pressed down over her head -- maybe if she hides well enough -- no one will see her before she can gather up the strength to get the hell out of here. ]

It sounds like the only easy one is Nala... they're all pretty strange, though. I just hope I can learn to contact Hyt in time.

[ uh oh. she pauses rather suddenly, stiffening a little. xion fails at hiding things. she considers her answer for a long moment, staring off into space. ]

... I need a better way to fight. What I have currently ... it isn't good enough.

[ just nods, a little sheepish. ]

[Sokka isn't quite convinced. Those are the reasons he wanted to learn the spirits. Its also the reason why he hadn't planned to work on Hyt until she brought it up.]

She shakes her head, unable to bring herself to speak. Slowly, she pulls her hood down instead, as her answer.

But there's nothing strange. It's just Xion, with this oddly detached look on her face. ]

[ PING. Xion stares at her openly for a moment, unsure of how to react. ]

[ gives him kind of a look. ]

It's pretty far, you know... are you sure you don't mind? I feel kind of bad making you go all the way over there.

[He just gives her a curious look. Based on what Axel's told him, he knows why Xion's freaked out, but she looks fine.]

[ well, that's news to her. she looks a little startled, then bummed out. ]

Really? I didn't know what... light was an element I was familiar with back home, so I thought, maybe... what is Hyt good for, then?

It's no problem! I've always thought of myself as more of the gentlemanly sort of pirate. But not all dressed up in frilly outfits like Rottingham. More of the help-out-a-lady-in-need sort.

[He catches that, which surprises him. Maybe she was expecting more from it? But what?]

Far as I know, it's just controlling light. You can create bright flashes to try to stun someone. Or if you're really good, make illusions. That's about it, though. What did you think Hyt did?

[ ohgodheknows. that makes horror creep back into her expression, quickly followed by shame as she looks away. she still says nothing. ]

But how... are you ... not human?

I thought it would be the same way Light worked back home... you could use it as a weapon, to fight. I was never the best at it, but I could use it. When I got here, though, I couldn't make it work at all anymore... I thought learning from Hyt might help, but it sounds too different.

[Aside from the implausibility of light being able to hurt people like that, Sokka is a little disappointed to hear that.]
