[ It's not until Xion glances at a clock that she realizes something is amiss. She could have sworn, last time she checked, that was 1 AM. And now it's 10 PM? That's not possible. Did she miss something? She couldn't have fallen asleep and slept that long. The journal catches her exclamation of surprise, and her quiet question: ]

Wait, what day is it...?

[ She wanders out of her room, confused, going to knock first on Jixsan's door before she tries Roxas's.

And he's not in there.

In fact, the room is empty.

Instantly, her heart sinks -- he's gone? home? -- but then the bizarre time difference occurs to her. Is something going on? Is there an experiment? As hopeless as she suddenly feels, she has to find out. Pulling on a jacket against the nip of the air outside, she grabs her journal and darts out of the house. ]

Has anyone seen Jixsan? His room is empty! Please, please don't have gone home, I don't know if I could take you leaving, too...

[ She ends up in the village center, near the fountain, and late in the evening as it is, it's quiet here. For a moment or two she paces silently, clearly worried, unsure of where to go from here. Anyone out and about at this late hour want to help a distressed teen? ]

Who the heck is Jixsan, Xion?

[Just... what? There is quite a bit of disbelief in his voice here.]

... who is--? How can you not know? He's been living in the house for--

[ A beat. ]

Something funny is going on.

Because I've been living in this house for years, and I'm pretty sure I'd remember somebody named 'Jixsan'.

... seriously? You don't remember him at all? [ She groans. ] There must be an experiment going on. I mean, how else could you explain that? I've been living there just as long as you, and I know he's been with us the whole time!

[No, not home. Jixsan's safe and sound in Luceti borders, currently taking a nap in a room that isn't his. It'll be an hour before he blearily awakens, disoriented but initially unaware of what's happened.

At least, until he rolls on his side and looks at his journal.]

... Xion, but I'm in my room.

Jixsan! [ She sounds so powerfully relieved. ] I-- but I checked your room! I was in there, it's bare! Look out the window, okay?

[Bare? Well, first thing he does is sweep the room with his gaze - there's stuff here, definitely, but the lights are out and suspicion is growing by the second. After a quick shuffle across the floor - he doesn't bother with the window yet - the Nobody turns on the lights and--

... Er.]

Oi. Where the hell is this? [Now he strides over for the window, throwing it open and sticking his head out. Ordinarily it would be the view he's grown familiar with over these past two years, which is why it takes less than a second to confirm what the contents of the room already told him.

Wrong house. Audible sigh.] Can't they start this shit when I'm not sleeping?

[...Okay, now that it seems that she's found Jixsan ~~and thus putting this definitively chronologically after Sanji's comment~~, she can ask the less than sensitive question:]

What kind of name is Jixsan?

[Hey, she's feeling a little crabby since she remembers falling asleep before midnight, but it's apparantly 10 PM now and she feels like she slept for only a couple of hours, not most of a day.]

An awesome name, Miss~! [Jixsan sees this and oh, there's that flighty tone of his - though once Xion hears it, she'll probably realize what that means.

Crabby Fenimore? Meet crabby Jixsan.]

Forgive me if it doesn't suit your tastes.

[ She does know what Jixsan's tone means. And she sighs. Oh Fenimore. She wishes you knew better than that by now. ]

What's wrong with it? I mean, I'm pretty sure I've mentioned him to you at least once before!

[ Again, she just sighs in relief. ] I wish they wouldn't start it at all. Come home, okay?

[Despite his flighty tone, she can see where this could be insulting.]

If you say so. It's just a pretty awkward place to put an x. [Muttered to herself:] -xsa, -xsa...

[Even if she doesn't apologize for the insult.]

I think I'd remember a name like that....

[ She shakes her head. ] It just sounds [ made up okay that might be going too far. she's learned over her time here that not everyone has normal Earth names ] -- kind of awkward to pronounce.

Heading over now. No heart attacks while I'm out.

[ahah. ha. Xion is free to smack him on sight for that terrible joke, and he even rolls his eyes at himself.

... Though his return will be a little delayed. He'd planned on walking, but after speaking with Nami, Jixsan decides he's unwilling to speak with anyone else outside his housemates, and teleports straight into the kitchen. Wherever Xion is, he plans on finding her.]

[He's noticed the lack of apology. And the flightiness drops like an old mask. He pronounces it out loud]

Jik-san.

It's not that hard.

It doesn't seem hard to you because you've gotten used to it -- [should she be mature? ...nah] -- Ji-ku-san.

[Yes, the just-slightly-too-long ku was deliberate. She could probably manage pretty well if she tried.]

[How about someone from the dark? Okay, that was a terrible line to use, but anyway Roxas is also out this late at night. He and Toxana had been doing some research in the library. He had stepped out for a bit of air when he spotted Xion there.]

...hey. Why are you out this late?

[Well hello there. Someone looks sad. Pinkie pops her head out from behind the fountain. She blinks a couple times at the pacing girl, before pouting.]

Well somepony doesn't look very happy tonight...

... It's April first. Xion, are you... okay? [ He is pretty sure he'd hear about it somehow if you had gotten a new housemate and uh. This is not a name he knows. ]

[Luke hadn't spent any time to check his journal. He was sure he'd just been sitting on the roof and counting stars to pass the time while keeping his senses open for any intruders who might come upon the house.

Not sitting on some couch he doesn't know of when a book and a cup of tea in front of him.

He has to admit, he's a little perplexed. But it doesn't take him long to get up, get out, get his bearings and find Kairi in mid training.

It's once they head back that Luke manages to catch familiar black hair in the village plaza. He hurries his pace, noting that distressed look on her face.]

Xion? Is something wrong?

Xion? [Why's she asking the date--] It's the first...are you okay?

[...] 'Jixsan'?

Sure this isn't because you're just shitty bad at names? [There is that nagging voice in the back of his mind that insists he chill out, take a step back from the journal -- Fenimore's just a target.

Jixsan politely tells his conscience to shove it.]

If there's an experiment going on, I'm sure not the one who's affected.

[Sorry, Xion, he's very doubtful about this.]

... how do you know that for sure? They mess with our memories all the time.

[ Xion herself heads back home after receiving his message, and just ... waits, pacing around a little. She's actually in the main room near the front door, looking out the window. It ought to have occurred to her he might just portal home, but for now, she's watching the road for some sign of him. ]
