[ Waking up in a forest in a white sundress when it's cold and snowing is no fun at all, especially when she is dead certain she's not supposed to be here at all. She's clutching the journal she found to her chest as she makes her slow way through the trees, shivering violently. Every so often she stops and sets the journal down so she can cast a Fire spell to try and warm her hands a bit. She's desperate to find some shelter, anywhere she can get out of this cold and just have a moment to think through what the heck is happening here.

But she has no idea where she's going, and finally she stops, letting a few particularly hard shivers pass before she looks down at the journal in her arms. Her musings are a little muddled by her teeth chattering, yes. ]

I don't understand... I'm n-n-not supposed to be here, and I don't even know what happened to my clothes, or what this little book is for.

[ And she glances over her shoulder, frowning softly. ]

And I've g-g-got these wings ... last time I checked, I definitely didn't have wings.

[ Heaving a sigh, she hugs the journal close to her chest again, and rubs a hand up and down one arm, staring at the sky. ]

Y'know, no one's worked that out yet. [He shrugs and folds his arms behind his head.] I guess they have to 'cause we can't leave and they don't want us to starve to death. People say we're test subjects here, but I don't know what kind of experiment it is. Seems really random to me.

[ disquieted frown ] I don't like being part of some experiment at all. Whatever they're learning from us, it better be good.

[ shakes her head ] Not that there's anything we can do about it.

Yeah, that's basically it. We all keep looking for a way out of here, but who knows when we're gonna find it.

Anyway, come on, let's look for your stuff. [And he'll start down into the village.]

Trust me, now that he actually has the time he takes a lot of naps. [He just grins in return and motions for Xion to follow] C'mere, I think I know exactly what room he's talking about.

[Blink. That's weird; it sounds less like she's asking about it and more like she doesn't know what it is. Might as well check to see which it is.]

What is it? I've never heard of anything like that before. [ browsing the guide, browsing the guide-- ]

[Huh, so she really doesn't know. Well then.] It's the best place to go if you want to learn new things. [... And now it's really starting to hit him that he really doesn't know what goes on in a school, other than like. Learning. Uhm.] Raine's in charge of the place, so you're probably better off asking her about it.

Really?! [ she sounds so much more excited than most kids her age would, seriously. ] Wow... I will! Thanks, Yuri.

[ still reading! and murmuring as she goes. ]

"Known Organizations..." [ she sounds less than thrilled, when she reads that, until... ] ... "most notably a stand-in leader, Yuri Lowell?!" Is that you?

Huh? [... ffff, he almost forgot he was mentioned in there. Oh well, not much he can do about that now.] ... Yeah, it is. I'm not a stand-in leader anymore, though.

"Brave Vesperia..."

[ her voice has gone strange. she sounds tense, almost suspicious ]

Why not? Did you leave?

[ going home! avoiding that topic forever. she just sighs and follows him, but her curiosity overpowers the gloominess of her thoughts and she ends up staring around at all this newness like a big-eyed little kid ]

I think he needs a hobby! There has to be something better to do than sleep all the time.

[ she headtilts in curiosity, but follows, looking around what'll be her new home ] It's kind of hard to believe I'll really be living here. A new home... what a strange thought.

Nothing like that. The original leader came here a few months ago, so I just stepped down and let him take over again. That's all.

He has one, it's called bugging people until they get really annoyed. [Just leading still, vaguely pointing out where his and Axel's rooms are.] It's a lot nicer than Never Was, at least. All of the chairs are normal height.

Something like that, I believe. I myself am not entirely sure how it functions.

[It's not all that impressive, definitely smaller and a lot less interesting than Twilight Town, but at least it's a place, right? Better than just a forest. And he'll stop briefly just to point at the buildings and give the important ones a basic description.]

That's the library, and the school, and the clothing store and the food store - there's a welcome center here too now, so if you want to go to that you can.

Oh ... okay.

[ she's quiet for a moment, reading. but her voice is still odd when she pipes up ]

These all sounds like good groups ... things that help people. Have you ... heard of any "bad" organizations?

Can it do anything else? I don't want to be surprised if it suddenly grows wings of its own and flies off! [ a small laugh ]

[ Maybe so, but it's a brand new world! So it's still interesting. She listens with rapt attention. ]

It's okay. I already know a lot of people here, so I think I can manage.

[ a giggle ] That's true. We need to find him a better hobby, then.

It's a lot nicer. Just having something other than constant darkness is a nice change. [ pauses at the chairs bit. considering just who it was that never had a throne... ] "Normal." It's kind of weird to think about. Everything that's probably "normal" here seems really strange to me. It's just so different. Definitely not in a bad way, though.

We'll think of something, just you wait.

...yeah, I know what you mean. When I first got here, a lot of stuff seemed really weird. You'll get used to it though, I promise.

Nope. If there are any out there, they haven't put much effort into making themselves known.

Hehe. I wonder where we could look for ideas.

[ pauses again. If anyone would understand this fear, it'd be Roxas, so... ] I hope so. I'm worried that I won't know what a lot of things are or how they work. And I don't think I've ever been around this many people before! Especially not people who have hearts. It's exciting, but I'm a little nervous, too.

I think I know a few people I can ask.

...I was pretty nervous when I got here at first, too. All of the the people here, they're all from different worlds where things all have different names and meanings. It gets pretty confusing to know what some people are talking about sometimes, but you have me to help.

[ bites her lip and nods ] Okay. I'm going to have to try and learn on my own, too...

Oh! [ something occurs to her that makes her expression darken ] Xaldin ... Roxas, do you or Axel ever speak to him? I think ... I think I need to stay away from him.
