[ So many visitors today. Of course, Noel pops in before Luke's later visit. As with the rest of the day, Xion's been floating in and out of consciousness, never able to stay awake for long. Usually not more than a few confused seconds.

It's in one of those windows that Noel comes in, and at first Xion is not really aware of her, instead just staring blankly, deeply confused, at the opposite wall. ]

[We love you, Xion. 8(

...she begins to notice, though. Noel may not know her actual state, but her eyes are clearly open. She... might be a little hesitant at first, but--]

... Xion? [~~Are you there?~~]

[ --huh?

Xion blinks, looking over at Noel. It takes her a moment to realize what's -- actually going on, but -- ]

Noel...?

[She nods, giving Xion a small smile.]

It's me, Xion. [Noel doesn't know how conscious she really is, but...] How are you feeling...?

[ this is all very confusing. She has to shut her eyes for a moment, to try and force it to make sense. When she reopens them, she smiles a little, though she still seems very dazed. ]

Okay. Tired... [ ... for relative values of "okay," one imagines. ] When...? [ She doesn't actually know what time it is. Or even what day, despite her other visitors. ]

[When what? "When did she come in"?]

I came in just a minute ago. I'm surprised you're awake... [But no one's surprised that she misinterpreted that.]

No, I...

[ She pauses. It's still a little hard to talk... after being choked and all. ] She swallows, wincing, and tries again. ]

What is ... today?

[Having been in the clinic on more than one occasion, Noel thinks she can understand. Patience is key, and she'll be needing it when talking to Xion like this.]

Today is the fourteenth. Thursday, I think.

[ There's a long pause from her. How... long has it been? What day was it when...?

... ]

Okay. [ She shuts her eyes. ] Noel... thank you for -- for coming.
