[She stopped by once the day before, to hear that Xion hadn't woken yet (not that she expected her to) but that she was improving, slowly. Good news.

If she finds a redhead around when she comes today, she'll dispatch him for a while. If not...well, problem solved. It seems the others who work at this clinic have done their own excellent job at caring for Xion, particularly making use of the 'technology' here.

Mia will sit for a few minutes, waiting to see if she wakes.]

[ Not truly woken up, anyway. Brief periods of hazy, barely-aware consciousness don't really count.

But today should go a little better for her. She's gotten a lot of rest, her brief conversations with Roxas, Luke, and Noel (for a total of less than 20 minutes) the previous day notwithstanding. So when she wakes up the morning of the 15th, it's with greater lucidity than anything she's managed so far.

It's about five minutes after Mia's arrival that she wakes up. She's still hazy, at first, not noticing Mia is there as she blinks at the ceiling. ]

[It will be best to let her come into awareness on her own. There's every chance she won't be able to stay awake for more than a few seconds, like the previous day.

But as she shifts closer anyway, just in case, she's definitely going to make some noise.]

[ Well, she's strongly considering going back to sleep -- or was, until she hears Mia move. Then she blinks down at the girl -- a stranger, and her brows knit in confusion.

Who are you...? ]

[a friendly smile and the gentlest of pats on the arm should reassure Xion that Mia isn't an enemy.]

Good morning. I came to see if there was anything more I could do for you today. ...Do you feel well enough to speak?

[those bruises on her neck still look quite serious, so Mia is prepared for the answer to be no.]

... [ She gives a small nod. ] Yeah.

[ Her voice is weak, but she can speak. Mostly thanks to what healing magic she was able to work on herself, during the fight -- it wasn't much, but it helped some. ]

... what do you mean, anything more?

Well, you're far from healed, aren't you? [She doesn't know Xion's personality. Keeping a lighter tone for now is a safe route to take.]

Even with your parade of visitors, I think you've rested enough that a little more healing won't strain you.

[and then, something more sincere, because the value of this is more than a lot of people realize:] You have friends who care a great deal about you.

... have you been taking care of me? [ Gently. She still has no idea what happened that night... or how she even got here. But that last comment brings a smile to her face, a quiet, grateful thing. ] I do. I feel bad for worrying everyone, but ... it was nice to see them.

In a way, you could say that. [Most of the real taking-care-of has been done by others. After that night Mia was exhausted.] Forgive me for saying so, but in this case they have the right to worry.

[And now, to business.] Are you in pain?

... I know. [ Her smile turns a tinge sad.

And it vanishes altogether at that question. Oh, jeez. The answer is yes -- as long as she has burns, the answer will be yes -- but the medicine helps, and ... nrr. She doesn't want to seem like she's complaining or anything... ]

... a little.

Where is it the worst? ...And please, be honest. There's no reason for you to lie there hurting, or for me to do less than I can.

[ ...... ]

My arm and leg, still... [ The burned side. ] And my shoulder...

[ Her cracked ribs hurt, too, but not as much since she's laying down all the time. ]

[Mia wouldn't want to hear that, about her ribs - she thinks she took care of those already. But, no matter now. She takes a breath, shuts her eyes, and starts on the burns on Xion's arm.]

[ Oh, they're better -- but sore, still. Healing is a long, slow, frustrating process. As Xion is beginning to realize, at this point. She shuts her eyes as Mia works -- initially, at least, before she turns her attention to the ceiling.

She can already tell she won't be awake long after this. It makes her feel better, but it's exhausting. Still, she'll stay quiet for a time, letting Mia work... until curiosity gets the better of her. ]

Um ... can I ask you something?

[she can see and almost feel Xion tiring already. It doesn't surprise her. She wants to wait and heal her wrist while she sleeps, anyway; occasionally it aches to have bones come back together.]

Of course. What do you want to ask?

... what's your name?

[ Quietly, almost shyly. She feels bad -- this girl has obviously been here before, been helping her, and Xion has no idea who she is. ]

[Mia turns bright red at that. Of course she doesn't know her name. She hasn't been awake to hear it.]

I'm so sorry. It's Mia. ...That's been very impolite of me, hasn't it?

[ ... a single, weak laugh escapes her at Mia's reaction. She can't help but smile. ]

It's okay... we haven't spoken before today. It's not like we had the chance... [ Her smile is sad and amused all at once. ] It's nice to meet you, Mia.

It's nice to meet you, too. I would prefer different circumstances. Your friends told me your name is Xion.

[She pats her shoulder, smiling again.]

Don't force yourself, if you're tired. It is fine if you fall asleep again.

Well ... I think that happens a lot here. Sometimes you meet the best people at the worst times... [ A brief grin. But then she yawns, which is pretty telling. ]

Okay, if you're sure... I am tired, still.

The best thing you can do for yourself now is rest. [And she's going to ask the others here to try and keep the parade of visitors to a minimum today.]

While you sleep, I can heal you a little more.

... okay. Thank you, Mia. So much. [ She settles, then -- shutting her eyes with a sigh. She feels safe with Mia here -- which, more than anything, is what lets her drift back to sleep. ]

Of course.

[Once she is asleep, Mia will do what she can for her broken wrist. She might even stay for a while after that, knowing that the chances of Xion being disturbed by some other visitor are much smaller while she's there.]
