[... Yup, right now that's the only thing on his mind. Unsurprising, since his hair is quite important to him.

But he lifts his hands away to allow her to work, though his fingers curl slightly as he cringes. None of this felt good at all.]

It's a crab! I guess it just got stuck...

[ Carefully, carefully... a minute's more work and she's got the thing free, holding it up by one of its legs as it continues to twitch, claws twitching open and closed. She just sorta lobs it back into the ocean (what else do you do with a crab?!) and turns to look at Luke, a little concerned. ]

You okay?

[Luke stares at the crab gets thrown back into the ocean. Just staaares for a second. And then:]

That wasn't a crab! Crabs are way bigger than that! [And usually try to kill you in some way.]

... they are? [ looks back at the water. ] I thought they were supposed to be kinda small...

[ She sits back on her heels, breathing out low and slow, trying to keep from coughing again. ............ perhaps she is starting to recall what was happening just a most ago, but ... she's trying very hard to pretend she isn't!!!! ]

[... Yeah, Luke's recalling what happened, too. Hence why he grips his ankles and looks away, trying to hide that awkward frown, and blush, on his face. And now there's a sort of thick tension in the air, too...]

[ ... she falls silent then. Mostly because he withdrew like that -- it suddenly increases the awkward quotient by about six hundred percent. She blushes and looks away, her fingers balling into fists on her thighs.

This ... this is weird. They sometimes have awkward moments, but ... never as bad as this. What ... what was that? That was... really different from their other kisses. It felt so...

She doesn't even know what that was. What that meant. Why her body reacted that way. Though from what memories remain from that experiment... she can formulate something of a guess. And that thought makes her blush harder, and duck her head. Is that... is that what they were--?

Oh jeez. This is painfully embarrassing. ]

[Luke knows full well what he was feeling, and why his body was reacting like that. He might not have lived for very long, but with a body that grew from ten years old to seventeen, he's certainly felt things like that before. Not to such an extent, of course, as he's never even kissed anyone on the lips until Xion, but there were still stirrings. And he felt those very same things just a few minutes ago.

The ocean and the crab managed to break him out of it, of course. He can't help feeling disappointed... and thus came the rush of awkward. It... It was weird! And awkward! So why was he reacting like this?! It's not like he wanted to... keep going... did he?!]

Uh... [Let's break this silence somehow!!]

[ Her eyes dart up when he tries -- and fails -- to say something, hoping he would, but ... she just laughs, a little awkwardly, when "uh" is all he can manage. She'll just go ahead and climb to her feet, wishing she could hide her flushed cheeks as she brushes sand off her shins. ]

Um ... weren't you saying there were other things you wanted to do?

[Luke blinks out of it and stares up at her, a little blankly at first. Wanted to do...?

... Oh. OH, that's right. He widens his eyes a bit in understanding and stands as well, brushing sand off of his own legs.]

Oh, yeah, uh... Kairi said there's a bunch of stuff to do here, like... making sand castles and looking for sea shells and things like that.
