[ There is a creature in the plaza.

Though initially it hid behind the clothing shop, it seems to be venturing out now, just slightly ... looking for an opening to sneak away.

Can this creature summon portals on its own? Xion does not understand it, this body. She has seen these things before, of course, but to BE one? It's strange and terrifying. She'd known before, when she had Sora's face, felt it, but ... hadn't that been an exception? She'd tried -- right now, she couldn't even talk. And she could feel it. This wrong face, this wrong body, not hers. The only thing that might mark her, right now, is a curious (possibly cruel) artifact the Malnosso let her keep upon her return. Around the creature's neck, on a chain, is a ring. Xion does not seem to have realized it is there. She has rather more important things on her mind, after all.

Turned into a Dusk. The one threat Xemnas always turned on his members should they become unruly. She'd known. But how... he's not here! She'd only been taken for a night at most. How could the Malnosso....

What is wrong with her?

Should you be about in the evening, you may see this creature trying to rush, twist, and dart its way back to house 14 in that odd, swaying way Dusks seem to move.

But be careful if you run into her while you're out -- she just might turn into someone else entirely. ]

[ He finally manages to look up from the ground, but he can't bring himself to look at her face again. It feels like something is twisting his heart right now and he doesn't want to think about how much he misses Namine ~~or how awkward it is that the girl he's been nursing a crush on now looks like her~~ ]

... that kind of totally ruined what I was saying, huh. [ With very faint, sad humor. ]

[ He lies. He shakes his head, and he lies because it's Xion, and really, Xion's been the closest thing he's had to Namine for much longer than he wants to think about.

He lies because it's almost Namine, and it's far too comforting to pretend. ]

[ ... gently, slowly, she pets his head. The movements are light and meant to be soothing. But she has no idea if they are. It's so frustrating that he can't talk... ]

I still believe we'll get you back in a real body someday, Kohan. I don't know how, but we will.

[ A slow nod. He's not... sure he believes that anymore. It's been so long since he was actually in his real body, experiments aside.

He wants to go back, but it almost feels as if he only wants it because he's supposed to. ]

[ As long as he wants it. That has to be a first step of ... some sort.

Finally, Xion will stand. She can't stay here forever, especially not if she changes again. ]

... I should go. ... you could come with me, if you want ... as far as the house.

[ He nods and starts to move after her. Company is nice.

Company is nice. ]

[ She lets a hand trail at the level of his head as they walk, occasionally brushing one of the bigger, longer spines that comes back off the top. Why she does it, she doesn't really know. Comforting touches ... just feel right, somehow. ]

[ Rep moves into the touches just a little bit. Because he doesn't want to admit that it's comforting, though he's not... entirely sure to whom. Still, they're nice, and he doesn't want them to go away just yet. ]

[ If she notices him moving into the touches, she gives no sign. Instead she just keeps gently petting his head.

It's not long before they reach House 14 ... when something occurs to her, and she looks down at him. ]

Kohan, can you see the house?

[ ... See what house. He looks in the direction she is, but she's not looking at a house. There's the river a bit to the left, and another house more to the right, but Xion's just staring at the space between them.

Uh. No? Slow and confused headshake. ]

... I guess we never got anyone to tell you. House 14 is still there, it's just... [ she glances back at it, then at him once more. ] Hidden. Only Sanji or Jacob can tell you where it is. If you want to know, I can ask one of them to tell you. [ ... when Sanji gets home, anyway. ]

[ He turns to her.

THIS IS THE LOOK OF A VERY CONFUSED HEARTLESS. How does that even work. ]

Eh heh... it's kind of a long story. We had to hide the house with magic, because... [ Her expression briefly darkens and she looks away. Then she shakes her head, as if to clear it, and looks at him once more. ] Well, we're safer this way. But the nature of the magic means you can't see the house unless Sanji or Jacob tell you where it is...

[ Because why? Is something wrong? A bit of a nudge, come on don't leave him hanging like that 8( ]
