[ There is a creature in the plaza.

Though initially it hid behind the clothing shop, it seems to be venturing out now, just slightly ... looking for an opening to sneak away.

Can this creature summon portals on its own? Xion does not understand it, this body. She has seen these things before, of course, but to BE one? It's strange and terrifying. She'd known before, when she had Sora's face, felt it, but ... hadn't that been an exception? She'd tried -- right now, she couldn't even talk. And she could feel it. This wrong face, this wrong body, not hers. The only thing that might mark her, right now, is a curious (possibly cruel) artifact the Malnosso let her keep upon her return. Around the creature's neck, on a chain, is a ring. Xion does not seem to have realized it is there. She has rather more important things on her mind, after all.

Turned into a Dusk. The one threat Xemnas always turned on his members should they become unruly. She'd known. But how... he's not here! She'd only been taken for a night at most. How could the Malnosso....

What is wrong with her?

Should you be about in the evening, you may see this creature trying to rush, twist, and dart its way back to house 14 in that odd, swaying way Dusks seem to move.

But be careful if you run into her while you're out -- she just might turn into someone else entirely. ]

How is that logical...?

[ Either way, she clambers on out of the bushes, brushing leaves off her clothing as she goes. But she doesn't look up at his words. They're hollow and she knows it but she also knows he wants to mean it. So in the end, all she does is sigh. ]

Right now I just want to go home.

...at least you're a girl this time. [Leading, leading..] You're Naminé right now.

... I don't know. I can't go home. I... [ Nngh. She tugs at her hair, fighting off hysteria. ]

It just is, okay?

[It's probably best just to ignore him, Xion. Roxas is in one of those moods again. Instead though, he watches her appear, nodding to himself.]

...you think the spell around the house will let you in? I mean you're you, but you don't look like you. I'm not sure how it all works.

[ All of a sudden she shakes her head, dislodging his hand, her eyes clearing as she looks up at him. ]

... Luke?

[ Looking around, bewildered. ]

... I'm so small.

But you understand me. Good. [And it's behaving very calmly so far. Very good signs. Still... no talking. This might be hard, and she thinks, her brief smile falling into a more neutral expression.] I haven't seen you before. Are you new? Or are you looking for something? [She hasn't eliminated the possibility of a new kind of tracker, yet.]

[Mewtwo would like you to chill out. Mewtwo doesn't know how to get that to happen! Mewtwo will sit here uncomfortably and blindly guess at an appropriate response.]

[ ... how does she communicate this ... hm. Never mind that there is suddenly a girl (as Xion does not notice the switch), she's just gonna stand here a moment and wait for some brilliant idea to occur to her. ]

[ Sudden dismay, looking back down the road towards their home. If she can see it ... that means she can get in, right? She's still ... she's still her. Shouldn't she still be able to?

... only now she's afraid to even try, and draws in on herself, slightly. ]

[laskdfafj - oh. Oh! Okay, she's... okay. Just looks very different. ... Very different.

Luke can't help but give a half grin as he puts his hands on his knees and just... stares down at her.]

Heh... Really small.

[It's nothing personal, Xion, he just likes to have people let him help even a little. It's as if he's always trying to help others to make up for something, but it's stupid, he knows he can't make up for what he did.

This time he notices the change clearly, though he noticed that the hand was kind of boyish. Still you won't hear him say anything, pointing out to her each and every change wouldn't be nice.

He leads the way inside and stops at the door, letting go of her finally.]

All right, what do you want to eat? I'll go and get it.

[ Maybe it will help that in the next instant there is no longer a boy, but a woman with blue hair. Though the change doesn't register immediately, and she shakes her head violently. This might be one time it's a good idea to tell her she looks different... ]

[Aerith doesn't recognize this girl--though maybe she's seen her around somewhere?--but recognition doesn't matter so much when it's obvious that there was a gray creature there one minute and now a girl, causing Aerith to gasp sharply.]

How did you get--what just happened? [She looks around, just in case it's possible there HAS been some kind of switcheroo.]

[ Not small enough! An instant later there's .... hey, where'd she go?

Is that her? On the ground? Looks like she's out cold. She's not, she's just dazed and got her eyes shut, but man, now she's REALLY tiny. ]

[... Blink blink. Where'd she go...? Luke looks around at first - maybe she turned into something really fast again? But then he looks down at the ground. ... Oh. What... Is that some kind of fairy?

Luke balances his weight on the ground with one hand as he carefully uses the other to work it under her tiny body. Wow... She can fit right in the palm of his hand.]

Xion?

... what are you--

[ What! Her hands fly to her mouth-- she has a mouth! Oh man oh man, what's happening to her now? Quickly she runs her hands over her hair, looks at her fingers ...

... red hair. Is that ... red hair?

A troubled darkness passes very briefly over her expression before it clears, and she sighs. ]

... I'm sorry. [ She's got wings now, too. Violet wings. ] ... I don't know what's happening to me any better than you do.

... oh. [ ... at least Namine isn't here. ] ... I just hope I don't run into Kohan like this... [ ... too late SHE ALREADY DID oh well.

They'll make it inside the house without incident, at least. ]

[ She shakes her head.

... or, er. Well, now she's got a boy's face on, so that's a little awkward. ]

[Don't mind if he looks visibly surprised at the sudden change.] ...erm. You've...[He's just going to gesture to her face. The boy's face?]

Would you be calm if you were--

[ She'd gestured broadly as she yelled, and in so doing she noticed that ... her perspective has changed, a little. She pauses, and looks down at herself. And jumps, a little. ]

... Aqua ...?

[ A pause, then ... she cautiously relaxes. Just a bit. A tiny bit. ]

... Aqua's better than Sora, at least. [ ... ] Sorry, Mewtwo.

...never hurts to try, right? Let's go see.

...Kohan? [She's aware that that's what the Repliku calls himself, and she remembers the name being used frequently during the last experiment, but she wasn't aware Xion used that name for him as well.]

[ At first all she does is reflexively curl up in his hand, trying to get away from the sound. Nnngh...

After a few moments she pulls herself upright ... then jumps.

What in the--?! ]

Luke! [ Her voice sounds kinda tiny and tinny now. ] This is ... this is way too weird.

[ It's kind of girlish, now, if that helps. Though she does take her hand back when he lets go and rubs her wrist, an idle, unconscious motion. ]

... Just a sandwich would be okay.

[ ... true to her word she's staying pressed quite close to that door. ]
