but Atsuki hadn't said it when she told him. he took the news that she wasn't human...almost annoyingly well, as he seems to take everything. Senel certainly didn't think that of her--the odd, half-Ferines baby back at the house certainly proved that--and the people he had traveled with...well, they hadn't recoiled, at the very least, even if it was hard to tell just what they thought.
it isn't the same thing, in Fenimore's mind, at least. she's not a monster in any way. in at least one way, Xion says she is, or was. but...it was the Orerines who were supposed to be the closed-minded ones who couldn't accept anything different, right? would a monster cry over someone being too sharp with her, or spend her time worrying over friends rather than herself?
if she didn't know, would it have made a difference?
