[ Since her "return," Xion has been staying in temporary New Feather accommodations as she gets her bearings. She's had a lot on her mind... a lot of thoughts and fears. She goes to sleep the night of the 19th thinking everything will be the same tomorrow... and the next day, and the day after that. Whatever she was before... this is her life now.

Of course, that's not the case when she wakes up. Which she does with a yelp when she discovers her clothing is too small and pulls in all the wrong places. And her hair is longer, and-- and-- ]

Oh, no. Oh, my gosh--

[ That's all her journal, conveniently open as ever, catches before she slams it shut and races off toward home. Toward Luke.

Once she's met up with him and apologized until she was blue in the face and possibly cried a little, she takes off to Seventh Heaven. There is a certain chef she needs to see and hug and hug and hug until they both feel better.

Finally, once all that is done, she takes to the journals once more. ]

... I can't believe what just happened to me. I know I'm not the first one, but... it was so strange. Being young all over again... not having any memories of this place. They're such precious memories to me... and I think I realized something. I know how a lot of people here feel about Luceti, and the Malnosso, and the war...

But I'm grateful for this place. [ Gently. ] It's given me everything I could never have.... everything important and wonderful to me is here. Well... almost everything. [ Oh, Axel. ] But... I never want to leave. I never, ever want to go home. Not when everything important is here...

I'm glad. I'm glad I'm still here. I'm -- I'm sorry if that makes anyone angry to hear. I know it probably sounds really strange... [ She smiles, warm and sad at once. ] But this is my world now.

[ She ends the broadcast there... or seems to. In fact, she's got a number of messages to get out. ]

[ Well. She is adopted herself, so that part actually does make sense to her. ]

More or less. We look after each other because we're family, but we're family because we want to be.

Oh. Okay, I get it now! [ She laughs. ] That's just like me and my dad. I guess somewhere along the way I just realized.... if I was ever going to have a family, it was going to be him. He's the best dad anyone could ever ask for.

[Grins broadly at that.]

That's how I am about my Pops too! I mean, I was, back when he first adopted me. I still think he's the best, but we had a lot more time to get used to the idea that we're family.

Is your Dad here?

Yeah! He's the head chef at Seventh Heaven. Sanji!

EH? Sanji?!

Oh wait! You must be Xion, right?

Oh! Yeah, I am. Do you know him?

Aye! He's.... [Pauses and laughs.] It's complicated. Ace is my little brother so I guess we're something like friends of the crew, eh.

Sanji's a great guy, eh. I'm very pleased to meet you Miss Xion.

Oh! So you must know the rest of the Straw Hats, too! [ She lights up. Any friend of Luffy's crew is a friend of hers. ]

Um, what's your name?

Most of them. I've only met Luffy back in our world, and it was under some pretty rushed circumstances, but I've tried to meet most of them here when I could.

I'm First Division Commander Marco. I run the Whitebeard pirates, Ace's crew.

Hehe. It's nice to be able to take the time to get to know people here you couldn't back home, isn't it? Anyway, it's really nice to meet you, Marco! [ She is being almost painfully sincere. ]

Have you been to the Grand Line, too? It's really amazing... pretty much everyone from your world is incredibly strong.

Aye, exactly. Even just the people from other worlds, eh? But yes, the best part of being here is being with people we can't back home.

I'm from the New World actually, the second half of the Grand Line. [He gives a wry grin at the mention of their strength.] It's a challenging place. If you're not strong it's that much harder to survive, eh?

Yeah... I know what you mean. [ Somewhat thoughtfully. ] Every time I thought I'd seen the limits of what people could do, I met someone stronger... it can be really crazy, living in a place like this. What's the New World like?

[Wry grin at that.] It's nice though, eh? My Pops was the strongest man in our world, so I'm used to being outmatched, and yet by the same token, only having a select few near that level of the top, if that makes sense.

The New World is really wild. One of my Pops' favorite islands is this Spring island covered in sakura blossoms year round. When it's doubly spring there it's like wading knee deep through cherry flower petals. It's one of most gorgeous places in the world, especially if like flowers. It's said they can heal just about anything, eh. And there are waterfalls all over the island that create rainbows through the light.

But not all the islands are like that. Foodvalten is really rocky. Normally you'd think it would be impossible to grow anything there, but the people are so clever, they grow food even on the rocks, eh. And Raijin rains lightning so it's incredibly dangerous.

[ Enthralled. ]

I love flowers! Wow, that place sounds so beautiful... I wish I could see it! I really like your world. I wish I could go there...

[ She actually has been there, once, at the behest of the Malnosso. But she doesn't mention that now; long story. What she truly means is she'd like to maybe stay there for a longer duration... but she won't say that, either. ]

Lightning rain? I wonder what what would look like. It sounds dangerous! But I think I'd still like to see it. Just to know what it was like. [ Somewhat wistful sigh. ] Even when I used to travel between worlds, I never saw anything like yours.

It has its moments, but it can be brutal too. That's why only Gol D. Roger ever made it to Raftel and became the Pirate King, eh? Well that, and Pops never wanted to go himself.

Ah, really? Everyone says our world sounds really strange, but I only have Luceti compare it to and whatever is in the books. What was your favorite world you ever visited?

[ Ooooh. That's a good question. One of her favorite questions. She considers for a moment, a smile curling over her features as she thinks it through. ]

Probably Twilight Town. It was always sunset there, so it was really beautiful... I'd go there with my friends to sit on the clock tower and talk and eat ice cream... those were the best days! I always looked forward to it...

[ Her tone is tinged with nostalgia. ]

Sounds like fun. [Grins.] We have an island in my world that's always sunny, and a part of the ocean that's always night, but I don't think we have one that's always sunset, eh? Well maybe the edge of the world so to speak. It wouldn't surprise me if Raftel was like that.
