She splashes her way over to him, trying not to kick up too much water, then slowly lowers herself down beside him. It's a shock, the cold of the water against her skin, and she lets out another squeak when the water comes up against her abdomen, nearly reaching her chest. But it does feel nice, in this oppressive heat, and before too long she settles, legs half-floating tucked by her side. She leans against him, tilting her head back to stare at that bright blue sky, squinting her eyes against the light. ]
